Positive: The house has a splendid view to Teide AND the ocean from the balcony, we enjoyed having breakfast outside. Comfortable outdoor furniture + private jacuzzi + private garden (with lovely flowers and birds) add a lot to the holiday experience. Comfortable big bedrooms with AC (which can be used for heating and cooling), big living room with panorama and comfortable dining area, 2 spacious bathrooms, kitchen with all the basic equipment. The caretaker Maria is a very nice and easy-going lady, who gave us useful tips and was very flexible with the check-in/check-out. Free parking in front of the house (with a big parking space).

Negative: The bathrooms are somewhat old-fashioned but were impeccably clean, spacious and comfortable (with steady hot water flow at all times). Both bathrooms has natural light and window, which I liked a lot. The previous reviews made remarks on the lack of kitchen equipment - the situation got a lot better, there are enough plates, cups, utensils, knives, toaster, coffee maker, big fridge/freezer, etc - so it is all OK now. Orotava can be reached by car (3-5 min), the walk to the beautiful city center is 2 km along the road, so not so pleasant - anyway, a rented car is necessary to move around the island.

Summary: Very comfortable private holiday house, peaceful, lovely neighbourhood, splendid view to Teide.
