Unwind inside by one of the two electric fireplaces, get cozy on the large sectional couch to watch television, or sit outside by the firepit making s’mores under the stars. Here is where you can also opt for a dip in the hot tub (available year-round)!
The fully equipped kitchen and an outdoor grill allow for the opportunity to prepare a delicious home-cooked meal. Gather with friends and loved ones at the dining room table, sit on the screened in porch, or eat al fresco while sitting on the back deck. Our home is built for entertainment, so in addition to the layout of our single-level floor plan, we have thoughtfully set up the basement to be an indoor playground for all ages. We have lots of games to help you pass the time including a foosball table, ping pong table, basketball hoop, and board games.
If you need a secluded area to check your email or do some work, we’ve got you covered! Our home has a dedicated area fully equipped with a desk, comfortable chair, large monitor, and printer. The room can be made quieter by closing the two doors that are separated by a hallway. Wi-Fi is fast and reliable.
Winter, spring, summer, and fall, you will find an array of opportunities to explore and enjoy the Lakes Region. Our Welcome Book is inspired by the anticipated needs of our guests and aims to address any questions you may have, including recommendations for what to do/look forward to in the area. Additionally, we are only a message or call away should anything arise.
Things to Note
Every bedroom has ample closet space with hangers, fan, luggage rack, black out curtains, full length mirror, and multi-USB charging cables.
There is a coffee maker, and we will provide some coffee to get you started.
All bed linens/towels/paper products are supplied and will be onsite when you arrive.
The hot tub is included with your stay and is serviced weekly. There’s nothing more relaxing than a nighttime soak while staring up at the starry sky.
There is a smart television in the living room. Guests will need to use their own accounts to access tv/movies/streaming.
Wi-Fi is fast and reliable for anyone who needs to work while onsite. The password is in the Welcome Book.
We have a firepit onsite with chairs that you are absolutely welcome to use. We provide some complimentary firewood. If you need more, there are instructions in the Welcome Book on where you can purchase some.
No parties or large gatherings onsite. Loud music/outside noise is not permitted after 9pm so that we can respect our neighbors.
Please note that Chestnut Hideaway is surrounded by woods on 4 sides, which means in the warmer months there will be bugs/mosquitoes. It’s part of the charm of NH in the Summer.
Guests access the property with a digital code provided 2 days prior to arrival for a contactless check in/check out.
There is a detailed Welcome Book onsite with local attractions, outdoor activities, and restaurant recommendations. We will also provide this to you electronically just prior to your arrival.
Gilford Town Beach is for residents only. However, Ellacoya State Park and Weirs Beach are both open to the public.
Guest access to the home does include gradual stairs/steps, although the property itself is single-story.
The home is located on a road with an incline, so in Winter keep that in mind. Yasmine Drive off route 11A has less of an incline and takes the same amount of time.
