Sleeps 1-7 comfortably. Don’t expect perfection but something much better: Feels like home comfort: lots of throws, blankets and pillows; games, books and doodling supplies; original art and “sink-in” furniture. TV lounge. This is our home and we enjoy sharing its warmth with others. Level lake front property 5-7 miles from downtown Bellingham and all amenities. Enjoy your mornings in front of the beautiful view of Lake Whatcom and your evenings watching the sunsets. Fully furnished/equipped home available for short term (minimum two nights) and long term rentals (for Long term stays contact host for discounted negotiations) 4 bedrooms, 3 baths , 3 Queen beds, Bunk bed with double bottom/twin top. Upper deck, dock, fire pit, b-b-que grill, covered pergola. Quiet, calm cove faces northwest with westerly view for sunset. Upper deck off of kitchen/dining for viewing, lounging, eating weather permitting.
Notes: Base rate is for 4 adults. Additional fee is $50 per person, per night. Children 6 and under are free. Check in/out times negotiable. Available Sept - March 2024-2025. (Contact owner for possible April-June 2024 options.)

Summary: We stayed in this location during move in for our Daughter who is attending WWU, we wanted someplace that felt like a small vacation. It was the perfect location, only about a 10 min drive to her campus. You feel very remote, but so close to everything. Since it was just my husband and I, with an occasional appearance from our daughter, the house was more than we needed. Just as discribed, it is a super comfortable house, lots of seating areas for conversation, viewing the lake, etc. Extremely well equipped kitchen. Bed was comfortable. We cooked out on the deck, had a fire in the fire pit one night under the stars, so peaceful and quiet. There is a swim platform off the dock (it was a bit too cold out for use to get in the water). One night we had a nice storm come thru, my husband noticed they had a retractable awning off the deck so we sat out and watched the storm move thru. My husband spend hours fishing right off the dock, he mostly caught little fish and released them, but had so much fun doing it. Great area for sitting outside and reading, the garden was very well maintained with lots of pretty flowers. We will definitely come back when we go and visit our daughter at school. Hosts were great with responding and giving us info when asked. You won't go wrong if you pick this house, it's great.
