Positive: Great location - near Teatralna metro station, Kreshchatyk Street, Taras Shevchenko Park. Nice, comfortable interior. Good kitchen and appliances, including washing machine and drying rack. Nice spacious bedroom. Wifi worked fine. Adequate hot water supply for solo person. Good queen-sized bed with extra bedding and pillows. Owner (Alex) response time to calls and messages was excellent. Owner did offer to have towels and linen cleaned. Owner had toilet seat fixed when requested.
Negative: Owner declined to meet at the property address. I was not informed that the property was located through a driveway tunnel/breezeway into a courtyard surrounded by street-facing buildings until I phoned after not finding address. Building is old and common areas (exterior front steps, interior stairs and halls) are somewhat rundown. I was not informed that the tap water was not potable until after inquiring two days into my stay. Noisy construction/renovation happening with nearby building (obviously not owner's fault) as of April - May 2024. Also noisy when raining on balcony roof. Owner declined to have kitchen floor lamp repaired.
Summary: Comfortable, independent apartment in very good location.
