Modern studio on two levels located in the beautiful Via dei Coronari, one of Rome's pedestrian streets, with its small craft shops, some antique shops, vintage shops, boutiques, restaurants and coffee shops. Perfect for a short term rental, it is also ideal to reach Castel Sant'Angelo, Piazza Navona and Piazza San Pietro within a few minutes on foot.
Via dei Coronari originated in the Middle Ages, when they wanted to connect directly the area of the stadium of Domitian (Piazza Navona) with the bank of the Tiber in front of Castel Sant'Angelo, in order to shorten the path for the numerous pilgrims heading to the Vatican. Via dei Coronari owes its name to the sellers of sacred objects because this was the route the pilgrims took to reach St. Peter's; the road was opened by Pope Sixtus IV and constituted the first road of the medieval city: 500 meters long, in the first part of this road lived the skin tanners and the other stretch was named "Immagine di Ponte". Important Renaissance palaces and also baroque with balconies, kiosks and doors. The street was full of showcases of antique dealers with furniture of every age, but today there are craft shops, some antique shops, vintage shops, boutiques, restaurants and coffee shops.
Via dei Coronari is a pedestrian street. Near the apartment it is possible to park for free in the presence of white stripes, or for a fee in case of blue stripes outside the time slot of the ZTL area of the municipality of Rome, from 18.00 - 23.00 from Monday to Friday, 06.30 - 14.00 on Saturday, Sunday all day except for extraordinary changes.
