This beautiful Victorian home was built in 1880 for Union Army Civil War General and lawyer Charles Smith Hamilton. With fifteen rooms spread across the first and second floor, this historic home has been featured in interior design magazines and combines vintage charm with all the modern systems, amenities and comforts. The first floor features a reception area, living room with fireplace and a 4k television and entertainment system, a library/parlor with fireplace, a formal dining room with seating for ten people and a complimentary full bar, butler's pantry, a full bath, and a chef's kitchen with coffeemaker, espresso machine, and refrigerator stocked with wine, beer, soft drinks, juices, coffee, fruit and snacks. The library/parlor also features pocket doors/portieres so that it can also be called into service as an additional bedroom upon request.
Ascending the central stairs to the second floor, you'll find a large master bedroom with a Queen-sized bed, a generous seating area with fireplace, bay windows, and a large couch that can serve as an additional guest bed if needed. There are also two additional full bedrooms, each containing a comfortable full-size bed and dressing area. Continuing down the second-floor hallway you will find another full bath that was fully remodeled in 2020, a workout room with a treadmill, free weights and a massage chair, and a connected room with an adjoining office space with complimentary laser printer and scanner, that can also accommodate an additional bed upon request.
A charming cobblestone private fenced courtyard at the rear of the property is ringed with evergreens and fruit trees, and provides a lovely place to relax or entertain.
The home offers central air-conditioning and heating, high-speed wireless internet, 2 flat-screen televisions with premium cable channels, and complimentary private use of the onsite laundry facilities.
