After a fun-filled day of exploring all that Western North Carolina has to offer, would you like to come home to relax, grill out on the deck, enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sunset over the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains? If so, then this house is for YOU!
Casa Bella Vista is situated at 3,500 feet on a western-facing mountainside, nestled in the Blue Ridge mountains. This beautiful mountain home is private and secluded, and yet has all the comforts of home (including satellite television and internet), but is close to all of the activities you are planning to do on your mountain getaway. Black Mountain is only a 15-minute drive, Lake Lure and Chimney Rock are an easy 30-minute drive, and downtown Asheville is a quick 25-minutes to the center of town. The Blue Ridge Parkway is only 15-minutes away.
The house has three floors, all of which have decks that overlook the mountains.
This 1500 sq ft mountain house has three bedrooms, two full baths, very comfortably accommodates six people, and boasts a western-facing deck on each floor, all with long-range mountain views.
The main floor has the kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom, the living room and the dining area. The kitchen is fully-equipped to make your delicious meals at home. The beautiful living room has a stacked stone gas log fireplace with remote-control, and french doors that open onto a large bi-level deck with expansive, year-round, long-range views of the ancient Blue Ridge mountains. This view is postcard-like, and each sunset paints a new and ever-changing vista for your private pleasure. The bi-level deck has plenty of comfortable patio furniture, an outdoor dining table that seats six, a Weber gas grill and a hammock for afternoon naps.
The living room opens to the dining area which has a table that seats eight, and is adjacent to the kitchen. The private bedroom on this level has a comfortable and clean king bed, and two large closets. The bathroom on this level has a walk-in shower.
The upper floor has a really cute A-frame bedroom with two twin beds and a large walk-in closet. The spacious master bedroom has a queen bed, a large walk-in closet, and it's own private walk-out deck. The attached full bathroom has a tub/shower combination, and a window overlooking the lush landscape.
The ground floor bonus room has a 47" flat-screen television, comfortable seating, and a sliding door leading out to it's own private, covered deck. The full-size washer and dryer are located on this level.
The house has satellite television and high-speed satellite internet. Please note, the WIFI is metered, you cannot stream a large amount of data (ie. music, videos, games or movies) from the wifi or it will slow town to a crawl. So if you plan to bring movies to watch, have them downloaded first! Basic internet use like email and Facebook browsing works fine.
The house is .9 miles up a somewhat steep, curvy, privately-maintained gravel road. I do not recommend a rear-wheel drive vehicle or a sports car. A vehicle with a high carriage (ie: SUV) is recommended for the road. In extreme conditions (heavy rain or snow), a 4-wheel drive or AWD is recommended. I strongly recommend you arrive during daylight hours.
As a guest once told me, "What we liked most was the view, what we liked least was the road. Ironically, you can't have one without the other". :)
