Summary: As soon as we walked in we were smacked in the face with heat.The temperature inside was 88 & climbing.The vents were blowing out warm air.My husband contacted the number listed & the situation was handled quickly, which we were very thankful for considering we had our 4 kids, one of them being a 6 month old.In the kitchen, we found dead roaches in the fridge.Not long after, we saw roaches crawling in the living room, & bedrooms. Our kids then weren’t able to play on the floor because of the bugs. We also had to keep all of our stuff stored on the countertops, which made cooking difficult. We were informed that the place had been vacant for 2 weeks & this happens in the summer. Someone should’ve inspected the property and sprayed BEFORE we arrived then if this is a known fact. Someone came out & sprayed the afternoon before we left. I was thrilled to have a place with a washer & dryer, however I found the washer to be filthy & found someone’s fake nail in the bleach compartment. Between the roaches & the dirty washer & dryer I have to wash everything we took on vacation. We also had to clean the shower/bathtub before bathing our children due to not being cleaned. A lot of this could’ve been avoided if someone checked the place before we arrived. Please take this next piece as advice. If you are advertising a working kitchen, please include potholders or more than one hand towel in the kitchen. Pulling something out of the oven becomes extremely difficult with no oven mitts.
