Positive: Even though the booking said breakfast was included, it did not materialise. It wasn't important to us and the host provided a substantial basket full of goodies on our arrival. The location was excellent, we were within a very short driving distance to a supermarket and found the most amazing patisserie. The owner provided everything we needed to cook for ourselves. The house was ambient with delightful ornamentation. We loved everything about this little house, it has an incredible history and is full of character.
Negative: The house is set with a small courtyard that is hidden from view. Teenagers tended to congregate in the courtyard late at night smoking and listening to music on their phones. The disturbance kept me awake on several nights and when I asked the children to move on I was given a mouth full of cheek. We understand it is not the owners fault and she would have little control over the matter. Perhaps the owner could notify the council so they can do something about it.
Summary: Soleto is an amazing village and a must see in Puglia. Our stay was outstanding!
