Positive: The location is great--a wonderful view of the dunes and walk to water and a feeling of privacy even with other houses nearby. The house is really comfortable with a porch and screened in eating area that we used several times. Walking to the bay and around it is highly recommended--you can even make a long walk of it and go to the beach. We saw many pelicans and dolphins minutes from the house. If you prefer a beach with parking and closer walk, you can drive for 5 minutes. The parking passes provided are appreciated. Neighbors are friendly and we were aware that this neighborhood is a place people also live year-round.
Negative: The elevator wasn't working--a real issue if it's advertised as usable, especially for people with mobility issues. Also, the coffee maker that was there last time had been replaced w a single cup Keurig coffee machine but there were no pods in the house or a reusable pod to put our coffee in. Even a cheap hotel has pods for guests. I went to 2 stores trying to find a solution only to find the coffee maker in the bathroom closet--and it worked. For guests who look forward to an early sunrise brew, it's important to have a coffee machine. Last time we stayed I also commented that beach towels would be really handy, especially for the price of the place. Lastly, the bed is really hard as many guests have reviewed and I saw that a mattress topper was wrapped in the closet but no one had put it on the bed. That would have been really nice.
Summary: This is a peaceful, well used home with lovely trees and nature to enjoy.
