Welcome to C Shack at Colonels Island GA! Bring your boat and dock it at the house! Enjoy the incredible views of St Catherine's Island and Ossabaw Island from the large screened porch which will be where you spend most of your time!
PERFECT LAYOUT FOR 8: The floor plan of this rental with 4 BRs and 4 FULL Bathrooms is perfect for 4 couples or a family of 8 guests or less. Each bedroom is on each corner of the house and has an en suite bathroom. It is rare to find a rental with a private bathroom for each bedroom. The sleeping layout of 3 King Beds and 1 Queen bed accommodates up to 8 guests comfortably. There is plenty of dining space in the house and outside on the large screened porch.
BRING YOUR BOAT: Guests have full use of the dock for docking your boat, fishing and crabbing. Half Moon Marina will lift your boat in the water or you can back it into the water at the Sunbury Boat ramp. You can also get fuel and bait at Half Moon Marina. There is plenty of room in the yard for your boat trailer.
CENTRAL LOCATION IN COASTAL GA: Away from the hustle and bustle, this rental is centrally located between Savannah and the Golden Isles. Head north to the historic district of Savannah about 40 minutes away or the the beach at Tybee Island about 70 min away. Head south about 70 minutes to the beaches of St Simons Island and Jekyll Island. Enjoy dining at all the local seafood restaurants along the way. Speaking of seafood, this rental is within a 10 min drive to a local favorite called the Sunbury Crab Company Restaurant with fresh seafood and steaks. They aslo have casual shrimp baskets, wings and burgers.
OUTDOOR LIVING SPACE: Take it from the owners of this large beautiful home - they said they spend all of their time on the screened porch. Summary: We've rented beach/coastal houses with the same group of friends for more than 20 years - and this is the best one by far. When we head for the coast, we're there to fish, crab, get away from crowds, sleep in comfortable beds and we all love to COOK. This house met everyone's needs - it's secluded with comfortable large beds and was clearly designed for people - like us - who want to catch dinner as many nights as we can. Kitchen has everything you could want and rivals what most people have at their 'real' homes. The screen porch overlooking St. Catherine's Island offers great views - and it has 12 ceiling fans, a big screen TV with all the sports channels, a freezer, various grills and cooktops and an ice matching that would keep a small motel crowd happy. We caught plenty of redfish and sheepshead, a few trout, some random sharks - along with plenty of blue crabs. The dock has water, electricity and can accommodate anything from kayaks to a big center console (we had both and used them daily). We also liked the huge lot size with plenty of room to park trailers, boats, etc.There is also a small marina barely four minutes away where you can buy live bait and launch a boat. We can't wait to go back again.
