Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: This is an amazing attic apartment with a large enjoyable terrace with views of Venice in all directions. It is far enough from all the major tourist spots to be nice an quiet yet close to everything like restaurants, bars and shops. Very close to S. Stae vaporetto station, 5 min to Rialto and many supermarkets close by. The apartment is clean, spacious, with plenty of hot water and all necessary things. Lots of books and interesting decorations, although the marionettes are slightly creepy, especially in the middle of the night when you go to the bathroom.

Negative: The host. No communication except via this site. A reply to an urgent question can take days and no clear answer provided when asked. Help is not offered readily nor is any information or direction. I discovered everything I needed on my own. The last day I was given a list of rules which was too late for me to fulfill. However, to be fair, the history was flexible with the way I paid tourist tax. Another thing is that every morning the door bell rings asking for someone to be let in. This was frustrating when I needed a sleep in.
