Positive: Rosario was very responsive. The washing machine was broken so I asked her if she could get it fixed and she had a brand new one installed the very next day. The broom was broken and sand from the beach was getting everywhere, so I asked for a new broom and she dropped one off later the same day. So she was very responsive and I really appreciated that. Otherwise, the location was great. Yes, it is on a steep hill, but it was still about a 25 min walk to the beach (not bad at all), it is away from the busy downtown so it is quiet in the evening, and the local residents were all very nice.
Negative: The main thing I wish we had was some instructions detailing how to use the facilities at Casa Damian (upstairs) and Casa Regina (downstairs where we stayed). My brother didn't know that we had to put the bathroom tissue paper in the garbage can next to the toilet so it would have been good to have some signage warning us of that. Also, to use the stove, you need to turn the gas on from the tank behind the fridge. It would have been good to have some instruction for that too. The church across the street rings a loud bell some mornings at 7:30am and again at 8am which annoyed my brother (but didn't bother me much) and the local roosters get squawking quite early as well but those are pretty easy to sleep through.
Summary: Rosario took great care of us, the casa is a great value and decent location, and I would recommend
