Casa Marenna is a simple and affordable vacation home located in a privileged position along the Otranto-Leuca coastal road, in the Guardiola area, about 550 meters from the sea and only 11 km from Santa Maria di Leuca.
The house can comfortably accommodate up to 5 people and is equipped with an outdoor space with a view of the coastline and the sea. It provides the necessary comforts for a relaxing vacation (it does not have air conditioning, only fans), and the simplicity of the structure makes it ideal for those looking for a quiet and affordable retreat without too many complications.
LOCATION
As mentioned earlier, Casa Marenna is located along one of the most picturesque roads in Salento, the coastal SP 358 that connects Santa Maria di Leuca to Otranto, offering breathtaking landscapes that you can enjoy by car, bike, or motorbike.
The Guardiola area offers a wild and quiet cove, accessible on foot via a staircase leading to a small rocky, unorganized beach, perfect for those who love the more authentic and pristine sea. The crystal-clear waters and rocky seabed promise an unforgettable experience for those who enjoy snorkeling and underwater exploration.
Additionally, the area hosts a bar, highly appreciated for its special location with panoramic sea views. It’s the perfect spot for a breakfast with a spectacular sea view or an aperitif at sunset, where, under certain weather conditions, you can even spot the Albanian mountains on the horizon.
Just 1 km away is Marina di Novaglie, a larger cove with a convenient beach, restaurants, pizzerias, and shops. Here you can also explore the spectacular sea caves and enjoy clear waters with easy access.
The town of Corsano, just 3 km away, offers all the necessary services, including supermarkets, pharmacies, banks, gas stations, and more.
THE HOUSE
Casa Marenna is about 50 sqm, part of a row of houses, and has an independent entrance. The interior spaces are simple but well-organized and consist of:
A bright living room with a dining table, a small sofa, a 32" TV, a washing machine, and a well-equipped kitchenette.
Two bedrooms: one triple with a double bed and a single bed, and one double bedroom (connected to the living room and not completely closed off).
A full bathroom with a shower.
Additionally, the house has a covered veranda, equipped with a dining table, ideal for having meals outdoors while admiring the sea and the coast.
Although there is no private parking, it is possible to park along the street for free. Keep in mind that parking is on the coastal road, so it is advised not to park large vehicles.
As mentioned, Casa Marenna does not have air conditioning, but previous guests have not reported any issues with this lack. Two portable fans are available.
