Positive: Fantastic location with a clear view overlooking the harbour and less than a one minute walk to the seaside. There was a good general grocery store a one-minute walk from the property. The apartment was clean, bright and had everything we needed, including a well-equiped kitchenette. The town of Agaete and the port area is fairly quiet compared to many of the larger resort towns on Gran Canaria, it's small and reasonably compact with several restaurants and a couple of grocery shops but it's a 6km drive or bus ride to the nearest large supermarket. There is a regular hourly bus from the town to the capital Las Palmas taking around one hour. It's possible to hire a car at the ferry-terminal building, an eight-minute walk from the apartment.

Negative: The property has no parking, so if you rent a car from the airport, you may have to park a 15-minute walk from the apartment for free parking, although there are a couple of pay carparks just 300 metres away. There is a restaurant just under the apartment building, so there is a little noise in the evening, but not enough to annoy us. If you are very noise sensitive, it might be something to consider. There is no wi-fi at the property. We used a Spanish travel sim for our phone and so could set up a wi-fi hotspot for our tablet device without worrying about extra charges. If you are worried about roaming charges, the lack of wi-fi might be something to think about.

Summary: Very comfortable apartment with a fantastic view from the windows.
