Cascades Manor is an exceptional house whilst being only 30 years old has all the charm of a bygone era. The house is filled with period furnishings and has gas central heating with radiators in all rooms. All windows and doors have double glazing and cedar shutters over the windows, which will keep you as warm as toast in winter, and the air conditioning will keep you nice and cool in summer.
We have unlimited Wi-Fi internet on the NBN, Foxtel, and Netflix.
Our welcome pack includes basic supplies to get you started, two types of milk, bread, butter, coffee and pods, tea, oj, cereals, fruit, and some goodies. Also, the "welcome to Cascades Manor" pamphlet with details of the property, instructions on most things, bush walk details and brochures, and fliers from places of interest in and around Katoomba.
Federation tile floors throughout, including the wrap around balconies and polished wood floors in bedrooms.
Featuring a snooker/pool room with baby grand piano, a couple of guitars, a small jukebox (plays cd's & blue tooth, selection of cds provided) wood fire (wood and starters supplied in winter) and lounges. There is a window box to relax on or have that nap, also a lovely old desk to write that novel. It has a pull out double bed, doors are able to be closed for privacy, guests will use main bathroom.
There are two large bedrooms downstairs, the main features a wood sleigh queen bed, period wardrobe and chest of draws, a widow box to relax in, as well as 2 petite chairs and a Georgian ladies desk. The ensuit has a lovely spa bath, shower, toilet and a cedar vanity unit.
The second downstairs bedroom is lovely and spacious featuring a wood sleigh queen bed, a TV and DVD player, wardrobe, chest of draws, two cozy chairs and a wine table. Also the main bathroom with a shower is just next to the bedroom.
Upstairs is a large loft room which can sleep 4 with a queen bed and 2 singles (all in the same room, may not suit 2 couples) it has it's own shower room with vanity and toilet, a lounge area, TV with DVD and Netflix, walk in robe, a round table with chairs, book library and a dressing table. It has its own silent ducted air conditioning system so you'll not only be warm in winter but super cool in summer. There are also a fold out camp type bed for that extra person.
Downstairs as well as the snooker room there is a second lounge with lovely furniture, a wall unit with reading material as well as large DVD library. HD TV, DVD/CD player and Foxtel. It has a wall air conditioner should the temperature rise.
Gourmet kitchen with gas cook top, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, 4 place toaster, pod coffee machine and filtered water on tap. Milk, butter, bread, cereals and condiments supplied to get you started, as well as all utensils, crockery items, glasses etc. The dining section has a extension table that seats eight and there are other chairs to tag one or two more on.
Full laundry with washing machine, dryer, tub, steam press, ironing press. Washing power etc. supplied.
We do allow small pets, caboodles, terriers, etc. You must clean up after them, and supervise them at all times. There are no boundary fences, so you will need to supervise whilst outside. Please inform us if you are bringing little friends. Sorry, large dogs are not accepted.
Early check-in and late check out are available at no extra cost depending on other guest departures or arrival situations.
(Note: There are no carpets in this house, wood floors in the bedrooms, and tiles throughout the rest. Be sure to bring your slippers!).
