4 Bedroom Ski Chalet in Oz

I welcome you to Chalet Le Sardonnier, set in a picturesque mountain hamlet in the heart of the French Alpes at only 6kms from the slopes of Alpe d'Huez Grand Domaine. With accommodation for up to 15 people in 4 comfortable bedrooms, kitchen area for self caterers, delicious home cooked dinners served in the vaulted living room which has an open fireplace. There is a bathroom with 3 toilets, 3 wash basins and 2 showers and I supply the bedlinen. You can stay for as long or little as you like, from 1 day up to ......There is a terrace outside with a barbecue, table and seating, and space for bike repairs! I have a locked garage for bikes. We've added a sauna, so come and find some heat after a day out on the snow!! There is a new lift running from Allemont to Oz Station in only a few minutes, perfect for mountain bikers and skiers.
You can come with a large group of family or friends or as individuals and smaller groups.

Skiing: The Alpe d'Huez Grand Domaine is at only 6kms away, at Villard Reculas where there is a chairlift link into the heart of the resort. This is France's 4th most important resort with over 250kms of well groomed slopes, 923 snow cannons and 75km of slopes with artificial snow.
The famous Tunnel run is the a black slope coming down from Pic Blanc ( 3330m) from where you can descend as far as l' Enversin d'Oz descending a total of 2200m.
The 2 Alpes link is at only 1/2 hour away, for more snow parks and high glacier skiing.
La Grave is at 3/4 hour away, and is world famous for back country skiing and a totally magic atmosphere.
Serre Chevalier is only 1 hour away too.
Cycling: This is the mecca for road cyclists! The Tour de France regularly visits Alpe d'Huez, from here it's easy to get to see it on one of the famous 21 bends.
We're in the heart of the mountain passes : Galibier, Lauteret, Col de Glandon, Col de la Croix de Fer, Madeleine and many others. Road cyclists have a huge choice, better get fit before coming out here!
For mountain bikers we're in the Alpe d'Huez area, with lifts and free shuttles working in the summer. There are a large number of trails especially at Oz where there are regular international and national races. You can bike from and back to the chalet using the lift system.
For the DH specialists, the Megavalanche trail comes through the hamlet with a new lift running from Allemont to Oz Station.
Hikers find plenty to do, the Belledonne and Oisans mountains are still quite wild with not too many other hikers. The mountains are fabulous all year round, always something to see from wild flowers to wild animals! You can hike from the chalet or go further afield, the routes are limitless.
During the winter school holidays rental is on a weekly basis.
