Come enjoy a spectacular fall, an enchanting winter, a sweet floral spring, or a green lush summer at The Fairview Four Seasons Cabin, located in Wytheville, VA.
Our charming log cabin is located on an active farm just a few miles from downtown Wytheville, VA. We are conveniently located just minutes from Interstates 77 and I-81.
This historic cabin is built on logs aged nearing two centuries from a hunting cabin that was built on the back end of the farm. My father had the logs moved to the front of the farm about a decade ago so that guests could both enjoy the view of the pond, with the protection of the mountain ridge, and sleep to the sound of the whistling wind.
My father who lived here until 2011 often would look out from the porch, and enjoying the view would say 'This farm is the closest place to heaven on earth-' and honestly, I have to agree.
Our farm is a habitat for many seasonal animals. You can expect to see sheep and lambs, geese and goslings, cows and calves, pigs and new born piglets in the spring, a variety of bird life as well as deer that pass through.
Oh, and did I mention the fishing in our pond? The last bass caught was nearing ten pounds, not bad for a rod off of the dock.
Here you will experience privacy with beautiful views, and a lot to do. Stop at the grocery store on your way in from town, and then you will have no need to leave for entertainment between your arrival and the end of your stay.
From resting on the wrap around porch with a scenic view sipping your morning coffee, to taking a stroll down the gravel country path, or hiking through the field and forest, fishing in the pond, paddling in the paddle boat, or if you so choose...
BRING YOUR HORSES, and stable them in our barn or hold them in our paddock - no need to leave them home. There is plenty of land for riding- be it mountain bike, horse, or mule. We have space to park your horse trailers as well.
THE CABIN
The kitchen is stocked with dishes and silverware. Appliances such as a stainless steel fridge, coffee maker, oven and microwave are available. There is a dining area with table and chairs located adjacent to the kitchen.
In the living room a comfortable sofa. DirecTV is available for those who aren't ready to give up all modern amenities.
On the main floor there is also a full bathroom, with a stand up shower.
The second floor of the house is a single loft with a King Size bed, an antique crib, clean bedding, and a washer and dryer for your convenience. A half bath is also available on the second floor.
*******Please note- we also lease a separate cabin that is ON the property so keep that in mind. It’s very private- but others may be on the premises. This family cabin is also available for booking if you desire a two family vacation. Advance planning will assure a great vacation with friends.
