Positive: The hot was very nice, helpful and flexible, responding to the arising problems and allowing to check-out much later than planned. The localization was great, a very safe neighbourhood, very close to the copacabana beach, with all needed shops and restaurants around.
Negative: There was a problem with receiving the key from the reception due to the host's mistake with my (foreign) name and his temporal inviability, but though at the time (of loosing 30 minutes) it was annoying, it was minor and I'm definitely not going to complain about the host. Another minor problem was with the lock - it wasn't opening smoothly and it should have been replaced a long time ago, as others guests had pointed out. The place wasn't entirely clean, the blankets were smelly, but the host replaced it without a problem upon our request. The major problem for us was the noise: the only window was to a very busy street with many motorcyclists which are particularly annoying in Rio, due to their honking all the time. We had to use earplugs to sleep there. The other rooms were separated just visually, not giving a complete comfort of privacy: the walls are not thick, and, even worse, they are around 30cm short from the ceiling.
