Looking to stay in a beautiful log home that is fun for the entire family? Is finding a peaceful location with lake access within walking distance just what you are looking for? Well, this is the place, located in Honor and 300 feet to Little Platte Lake (just down the road) and near the Trading Post. This great 3 bedroom, 2 bathrooms home won't disappoint allowing up to 9 guests. Home on Hickory will consider short stays during any season. Prime Summer Season 3 night minimum or weekly Saturday-Saturday. Short stays must back up to existing reservations and/or begin/end on a Saturday. Memorial and Labor Day weekends require three nights.
Walk into a well-appointed full kitchen (with dishwasher) with dining room just past the breakfast bar. Through the dining room you will find the living room area! Don't worry about entertainment. This home features 2 TV's streaming only guests will need to provide their own fire stick/Roku , WIFI, CD player and board games. There is a fun indoor miniature golf area in the lower level too. On the main floor there are two bedrooms with 1 Queen in each. Upstairs, the master bedroom has 1 King. There is also 1 futon in the loft area. There are 2 Queen air mattresses available as well.
Outdoors, enjoy the nice patio with fire pit and plenty of outdoor seating. Gas grill. You can plan on spending a lot of time outdoors here! Two kayaks, a canoe and a rowboat are also available for your enjoyment.
The cabin has shared access to Little Platte Lake which is a scenic 805-acre lake with quiet, natural beauty. Wildlife includes eagles, loons, beaver and great fishing for bass and pan fish. The lakes are connected by the Dead Stream and Platte River, which offer excellent tubing/canoeing/kayaking and fishing. Just 7 miles to the public beach on Crystal Lake and 5 miles to Lake Michigan.
Bath towel and linens provided. Washer/dryer in the basement. Central air conditioning. Your well-mannered pet is welcome. No more than two pets. No smoking.
