Exceptional chalet for 16 people in the heart of Châtel
With its view over the valley and a south-west orientation, the Chalet Les 3 Caribus has all the charm you would expect from a family mountain resort with high-end services.
It is located just 800 meters from the village center (2 min by car, 10 min by foot) and the Super-Châtel gondola. It is also possible to reach these two points by free shuttle, the bus stop being just 50 meters from the chalet.
Completely renovated at the end of 2019, it is developed on 3 levels:
Ground floor: - Entrance with large integrated dressing room (clothes racks and shoe cabinet for 16 people), separate WC with hand basin
- A lounge / living / dining area open onto a modern and welcoming kitchen with a central island, a bar and a wine cellar
- A lounge / TV area with a magnificent hanging stove
- A laundry room with washing machine, dryer and all cleaning supplies
- A master suite with double bed (2 beds) and bathroom (bath) / WC
- This floor gives access by the kitchen and the living room to a beautiful terrace
R + 1: - A master bedroom with double bed (2 beds), convertible sofa (2 extra beds) and bathroom (shower) / WC

Summary: We had a pleasant stay. It is not cheap but a good size for a group and has pretty views across the valley. The hot tub is lovely and always ready for use. However bring your own towels as there are no additional towels supplied.Beware there are several misleading discrepancies between the listing and reality. The property is not “ski in ski out” as stated in the listing. It is about 15 mins walk from the town centre. There is a bus stop nearby, but these are small minibuses and only run every half an hour, meaning they are often full.The welcome “box” promised in the listing is actually a bottle of sparkling wine - no box. Hand soap is only provided in 2 rooms. The linens listed in the amenities do not include bedding, which is more expensive than in the listing, and even more to put on the beds. There is an unlisted unmarked security camera pointing at the hot tub.There is a high cleaning fee, but on top of this you are expected to totally clean the property yourselves, stripping the beds, cleaning the fireplace, floors, rugs etc., and should expect to be charged extra if you do not do this completely. There is no housekeeper included as stated in the listing.Be aware that on arrival, you are expected to immediately sign a 4 page inventory of every item in the chalet. Allow a few hours to check every item, as if you do not report something being damaged or dirty on arrival, you will be charged for it at the end.Overall, a pleasant stay, but we cannot recommend.
