In Forstandersmauet, you can truly experience the authentic Bergen lifestyle. The streets are filled with charming alleyways, cobblestone roads, traditional Bergen houses, and cozy neighborhood cafés and small shops.
As you stroll down the street, you'll feel like you're in a fairytale land. All of Bergen's bars and restaurants are, of course, just a short walk away. If you want to start your day with a delicious cup of coffee, we recommend "Bergen Kaffebrenneri" just around the corner.
If you're interested in exploring the city mountain "Fløyen," you actually just need to step outside the door to begin your journey. Alternatively, you can take the "Fløibanen" funicular, which will take you to the top, and it's only 200 meters from the house.
Important staircase information: Please read before booking
Due to the property's historical charm and idyllic location, we would like to inform you about the stairs on the premises. The pathway leading to the property has steps of varying heights, which can be challenging, especially when carrying heavy suitcases. Additionally, the house has multiple floors with some steep indoor stairs.
While we understand that these stairs may be somewhat difficult to navigate, we assure you that the unique experience and captivating atmosphere will make it completely worthwhile. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to ensure that your stay is memorable.

8) We appreciate if you tidy up before leaving and leave the apartment in the same condition as you would want to come back to. Your will find cleaning supplies in the apartment 🧹
Please let us know as early as possible if you wish to check in early or check out late, so that we can accommodate your request. Early check-in / late check-out depends on whether we have sufficient time to prepare the accommodation for you and the next guests. We charge a fee of 100 NOK for early check-in / late check-out of under 2 hours and 200 NOK for over 2 hours.
Arriving early or leaving late? We offer luggage storage for 100 NOK 🧳
Traveling with children? We provide travel cots and high chairs upon request for 150 NOK per unit 👼
