Staying here during your holidays in Sicily you will be surrounded by the charm of a historical estate. Its owners have been living here for 4 generations, and in years they transformed it in a perfect mix between a traditional Sicilian villa into a modern and luxurious holiday home.
The original style of the house though is unchanged. You can tell by the original majolica tiles that decorate its floors; by the Arab style roofs that resemble Pantelleria’s houses, and by the overall architectural style of the structure.
The outdoor area includes a large patio with a perfect relax corner, furnished with couch and armchairs, a dining area with table and chairs, and a barbecue grill. Right around the corner you will find the private swimming pool, with a poolside area provided with sun loungers.
Villa Maria is on the West coast of Sicily near the beach of Capo Boeo, a rocky bay next to the Stagnone nature reserve. It combines the comfort of staying in a residential area, a few minutes away from Marsala city centre, with a great location on the coast, 1 km away from the beach.
From Villa Maria you can easily reach any beach of Western Sicily from San Vito Lo Capo at the Northernmost point of the coast, to Menfi in the South.
The reserve of the Stagnone is a beautiful lagoon with 4 islands, well known by surfers. The beach here is surrounded by unspoilt nature, while one of the islands, Mothia, has also a deep historical and cultural importance: there lie the ruins of an ancient Phoenician fortress, that you can visit once reached the island.
Marsala itself has a lot to offer: from the beautiful old town to the lively summer night-life, and the traditional Sicilian trattorias. From the port of the city you can also take the ferries that will bring you to the Aegadian archipelago, whose islands are a few kilometers off the coast and can be reached in a 30 minutes ride.

Right around the corner you will find the private swimming pool, with a poolside area provided with sun loungers. The house is on three storeys: two of them are reserved to the guests, while in a separate apartment on the ground floor lives the owner and caretaker who can be very helpful for those Who would like to get tips on the surroundings and suggestions. Inside the house you will find the same charming atmosphere that characterizes the whole estate. The interior design shows a high care for details and includes original furnishings dating back to the beginning of 1900s. On the first floor you will find the wide living room, the dining room and another living with TV corner. On this floor there are also the kitchen - fully equipped and provided with all the appliances - and the first double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Upstairs on the second floor you will find 3 more bedrooms, a double with en-suite bathroom, 2 twins and a bathroom with bathtub. The villa accommodates up to 8 guests. Both the 1st and the 2nd feature large terraces that offer a beautiful sight on the garden and the surroundings, including the coast and the Aegadian islands.
