Holiday home with panoramic views for 5 persons - in the village by the sea - Nikiti / Chalkidiki | House in Sithonia

2 Bedroom House in Nikita, Sithonia
Our cottage can be found in the village of Nikiti on the Sithonia peninsula, in the listed "old" part of the village, with its 100 year old traditional stone houses.
Nikiti is located directly on the sea and consists of two inter-connected parts of the village. "New Nikiti", the district by the sea, with a beach promenade and many cafes, taverns and holiday apartments and the "old Nikiti", a quiet tranquil place that can be reached by walking from the beach on the shop and commercial street 1 km uphill.
The holiday home stands on a closed property with a beautiful, sunny garden and shady spots - in the middle of the village and yet with a spectacular view over the village to the sea.
It is 70 square meters and the style of the house is traditional Greek with modern comfort. Free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, air conditioning for all rooms and a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering are self-evident. The cottage has a large, furnished terrace.
You enter the house through a hallway. The spacious, high-ceilinged living room with its visible support structure, the chestnut wood beamed ceiling, has a comfortable sofa seating area with table and armchairs, a fireplace and a kitchenette with electric hob, full size fridge and dishwasher.
In the living room a staircase leads up to an open sleeping area, "Sofita" called. The Sofita is a large gallery, equipped with a double bed and small furniture and allows through the upper windows of the house a view of the sky and the surrounding area.
The house has a second, large bedroom with double bed, fitted wardrobes, table and seating. The shower room has a shower cubicle, a masonry vanity with sub-shelves and wash bowl, and a toilet.
The Old Village of Nikiti, the "Palió Chorió" is located in a scenic gorge and has retained the charm and tranquility of the past. This place is a listed building. With its many beautifully restored houses, its beautifully paved paths, its pretty little guesthouses and taverns, the old Nikiti is now a gem of the whole region. It clings to the mountain with its traditional stone houses and narrow lanes, all the way up to the centuries-old basilica perched above the village.
Many of the old stone houses have been lovingly restored by their owners, especially some German owners appreciate the quiet, restful atmosphere of this place, where time seems to have stopped.
So a walk in the narrow streets and alleyways of Nikiti's "Old Village" is a journey into the past and an absolute "must" for every visitor.
New Nikiti has everything that makes a seaside resort on the sea:
A beautiful, about 7 km long sandy beach with natural quiet sections, a busy beach promenade and a small yacht marina in the fishing boats create. On the 1.5 km long beach promenade with its nice restaurants and cafes - from the typical Greek tavern to the stylish chill-out zone with the cocktail - you will find cheap beach chairs with umbrella (if you consume a drink are the beach chairs, right in front of the Local on the wide sandy beach, free). The beach is wonderful to spend the day with inspiring encounters, sunbathing and swimming and to indulge in Greek food and drinks. In the evenings, locals and tourists meet for "Volta", a walk, or watch the sunset over coffee, frappe or wine.
The numerous tavernas and restaurants in Nikiti invite you to explore the culinary Greece. In the village is once a week (every Friday) a weekly market. Here you can buy typical local fresh vegetables, fish, herbs, cheese and the famous Nikiti honey, but also articles of daily use and clothing.
For self-catering in the village there are large Greek supermarkets, bakeries and butchers for the daily needs. Even otherwise, Nikiti offers all the shops that can meet the needs of a household.
The Chalkidiki in the north of Greece, with its Sithonia peninsula rising into the sea, has become a popular destination for sun-and beach-loving European vacationers.
With its sloping mountain range to the sea, the Sithonia is a "green island" in the summer. Olive groves and pine forests alternate and the numerous, partly lonely, but also busy bays and beaches have crystal clear and turquoise blue water.
In spring, from March to June, the Sithonia Peninsula shows all its splendor. Active vacationers will find in front of a natural paradise here, the ideal place for hiking and mountain tours promises up to 800 meters. Easy walks over flowering mountain meadows, interrupted by rocky massifs and pine groves promise pure hiking pleasure and offer fantastic views of the picturesque coastline with its beautiful sandy coves and the Gulf of Toroneos or Mount Athos on the third "finger" of Halkidiki. The villages of Sithonia, with their blooming rose gardens still waiting for the onslaught of summer guests, take a "break" in the spring, with its warm days after a long winter.
The autumn of October to December is usually temperate with a lot of sunshine. It is the time of the magnificent Erika flowering and olive harvesting on Sithonia.
Our house is bookable all year - and heated on the still slightly cool spring and autumn evenings with a heat pump heating.
