Ian's Getaway is like taking a step back in time to the simple life. Located on 4 peaceful acres. The front porch of the cabin is really nice for enjoying your morning cup of coffee. The cabin is squeaky clean and comes with all you will need for your stay. Linens, towels and a fully equipped kitchen for dining in. This cabin offers a comfy queen size bed and a rollaway bed should you need it. The cabin has a flat screen tv with DishTV cable service. The fire pit is sure to keep you cozy on the chilly mountain evenings. The local attractions include hiking, biking and white water rafting. The U.S. popular Dragon Tail is 10 miles away. Deep Creek is 5 minutes away, they offer tubing, wading & hiking paths. Smokey Mountain Railroad is located 5 minutes away, The road to No Where is right around the corner. Nantahala Gorge, Fontana Lake and the Little Tennessee River are within a 10 minute drive. Cherokee Reservation and Casino is an easy 15 minute drive. There is a swinging bridge across the river that makes for a nice nature hike! Plenty of parking. Summary: This cabin was really cute and suited us for the reason we were in NC. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed. We spent a lot of time outside on the patio enjoying the weather and the beautiful park like setting by the firepit. It had a full refrigerator, stove, microwave, blender, and everything we needed to be able to live comfortably for a week. Hot water was immediate and hot. I only mention this because our hot water at home takes a while to heat up. :) We specifically loved the shower there because the showerhead was strong, and I felt like I was in a hot tub with the strong jetting water. We had the chance to meet both the owner and his son. They were super nice. Overall, if you are looking for a small cabin that sleeps 4 (queen bed, cot, and couch), it was great, and I recommend it.
