Negative: My stay was unfortunately very disappointing. The room felt like a dark, old “Harry Potter” room — honestly shocking when we walked in. Communication about breakfast was unclear and misleading. Even if you pay for breakfast with the room, you can only use $50 per room due to their à la carte system, which barely covers two coffees and a toast. The staff was not particularly friendly. The only kind and professional person we met was the one who handled our check-in. The damage deposit was also miscommunicated. It was advertised as €300, yet we were charged €450. At check-out, the receptionist even added €450 to my invoice again by mistake, and it had to be corrected with the manager — even though our actual consumption was €35, for which I still had to request a proper invoice. For a hotel that positions itself as a Kimpton business property, there was no proper space for an online meeting due to loud music in the lobby. I was told to “go to my room,” which was completely dark with a bed behind me — absolutely not suitable for a professional call. Our room was located next to a storage area where staff moved trash and furniture loudly at 7 AM and again around 11 PM, with no consideration for guests trying to sleep. Oh, and there is a daily resort fee — charged even though the property is under renovation: the gym was not functioning, and although beach chairs are included, you still have to pay $35 for an umbrella. Overall, every negative review I later read turned out to be accurate. I’m genuinely surprised nothing has been improved. My mistake was paying before checking the comments.
