Our beautiful farmstead is 3 miles from Sarlat-la-Canéda and dates from approximately 1750. The accommodation is divided across 2 buildings: the farmhouse (3 double rooms + 1 single) and a cottage (1 double room + 1 small room with bunk beds). There are terraces around the property and a large 6000-metre garden with an ancient bread/pizza oven and bbq, a tree house and small vineyard. There are plenty of places to swim in the area, the best being the Dordogne river and the safest being the Etang de Tamniès which is just 12 minutes away. Please note before 2023 only the small cottage was rented out and the first 2 reviews here refer to the small cottage only.

Summary: We were 3 women all over 65. The unit was clean, comfortable, and very near the medieval town we were interested in exploring. SARLAT. The owners, Annie and husband Will, were gracious, helpful, and full of life with a charming daughter to round things off. It was nice to speak English as French was nonexistent in two of us, and thankfully totally bilingual in the third woman. The unit was comfortable for 3 adult women, would not have wanted a fourth. Or.....suitable for 2 adults and 2 children Lot’s of comfort, warm water, and beds were good. Only thing lacking ( I love to cook ) was sufficient pots and frying pans and lids. Only 1 frying pan and 2 small pots. Kettle and toaster, excellent induction stovetop, etc.....all top notch. We stayed 3 nights. Would certainly return for longer......great stay Thank you
