Positive: I liked how central it was to everything, especially Ipanema beach. It was high security so you felt safe knowing someone was always down stairs. The place was spacious and had all the kitchen amenities you need.
Negative: The place itself wasn’t as clean as I hoped when I entered. The floors were dirty and I wanted to clean the kitchen bench but they only had dirty cloths in the cabinet under the sink. The place crawls of insects so make sure you don’t leave any crumbs or food on the bench. The shower is VERY small and you can barely fit one person in there. There is no hot water option in the shower or anywhere else in the house so even on a cold night you have to endure the cold. The bedsheet is so small that every night you sleep, you wake up with the bedsheet off and mattress exposed. The mattress is super hard and the pillows are old. The air con is VERY loud so bring eat plugs, if you turn the air con off then it’s too hot. I was here for a week and the owners only gave me two towels, this is fine as I asked for more. However, they gave it to another apartment as they said they had multiple apartments to look after and thought I was a different place. Which shows the lack of care and detail in the apartment. You always needed security to let you in and out which can get quite annoying as they aren’t always there. Going out is okay because you can press a button to let yourself out, getting in is a hassle if they the reception isn’t attended for several minutes and you’re waiting outside in the dark. Overall wouldn’t rush to come back and stay here, I didn’t get one good nights sleep.
Summary: If you’re travelling on a budget, want space and don’t mind not getting uktimate comfort this is the place.
