Our 2,100 sq. foot, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, pet friendly, cabin is situated on 1.5 acres overlooking the southern edge of Columbine lake off the back decks and the Hermosa Cliffs to the front and is located just 2 miles from Purgatory and 25 miles (less then 30 minutes) to downtown Durango. The cabin has been completed remodeled and features an open floor plan, wood burning fireplace, game table, large back deck with seating and a bbq grill. The cabin is located right off highway 550 via a paved driveway, so 4WD is NOT required any time of the year and there is plenty of parking for multiple vehicles/trailers.
There are two exceptional recreational lakes nearby, Electra and Havilland, and the area is replete with hiking trails and recreational diversity including snowshoeing and cross country skiing, four-wheeling, snowmobiling, mountain biking and many many other recreational pursuits. This home is pet friendly! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs max and the pet fee is $40/day (for a max $250 per stay). No Cats allowed.

Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.
