Summary: Although the views from this property were amazing, the rest was very disappointing. Several basics weren’t in place like spoons and washcloths (we had to go to dollar general 12 miles away in order to purchase our own). There weren’t enough towels, the house was full of dirt, dust and generally not clean. The listing stated use of community pool but the owner would not allow us (although the community HOA stated use the pool was acceptable by 10 or less people). The trash can was full and we had to pile trash in the driveway, there were dishes in the washer for us to put away and linens in the dryer for us to fold if we wanted to use. The internet is terrible and although we didn’t want to watch much much tv, we couldn’t because the internet was so slow. There is no direct lake access and the public access isn’t great and is several miles away. The best amenity was the hot tub, but it’s a small blow up one that was also quite dirty. We were able to clean it ourselves and enjoy the hot tub and the view. The communication with the owners was disappointing. They charged us extra fees after the fact such as a pet fee (the listing stated the house is pet friendly and the only fee would be if the pet caused damages). Overall, the only saving grace was the view which was amazing.
