Nestled into a 14-acre private park, and 1 1/2 miles from Hendry's Beach, this 3BD / 2.5 BA contemporary Mediterranean home of nearly 2,700 sq. ft. delivers the quintessential Santa Barbara active lifestyle. Providing unparalleled peace and quiet, the park is co-owned with 11 other neighboring homes in an HOA. Inside you'll find a bright and airy main floor with 10-foot ceilings, a newly renovated gourmet kitchen with Viking appliances and adjacent den, and a great room comprising a living room with FP and dining room, and Sonos throughout. Generous windows with seagrass window treatments, wrought-iron fixtures and handrails, and hardwood floors add to the welcoming ambiance. Downstairs, one can settle into a resort-style Primary bedroom / dressing room / bathroom suite, along with two comfortable guest rooms and a shared bath down the hall. Outside, you will find a brand new Gordon & Grant soaking tub where you can look out and enjoy the beautiful view.
Brand new French Oak floors are currently being installed in all downstairs bedrooms. A lovely fire pit will be added in the outdoor space. Lots of closet space to store your clothing and home goods. Birdwatch and stargaze from the 3 outside patio areas with two fireplaces- two upstairs balconies, and one extended terrace downstairs across the back of the house, providing ample outdoor living, dining and entertaining space. Venture past fully landscaped gardens up the private wooded hillside trail for a commanding view of the majestic Santa Ynez mountains backdropping Santa Barbara. Two resident hawks circle lazily above, giving the house its name: Casa Halcon.
The location is ideal: On the westside just off Las Positas, where it is 2 miles by car or bike to Hendry's Beach, 1 mile to Elings Park and the Douglas Family Preserve, 2 miles to the Santa Barbara Mission and the heart of Santa Barbara's restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. One can directly access the Modoc and Las Positas regional bikeways. This home is approximately 2 miles east of the Hope Ranch biking and hiking trails.
The house is fully furnished and fitted with appliances, kitchen utensils, linens and bedding, etc. Immaculate two-car garage with additional storage.

Summary: We had a lovely time staying at this home. Great community and neighbors. We felt safe and like we were in nature the entire time. The only advise I would have is that it needs to be treated for spiders. They were overwhelming at times.
