Right on Highland Lake beautiful spot, sandy beach, great house but close to town. This house was built in 1930 as a hunting lodge/camp but has been updated. The kitchen has enough space to feed an army, big trestle table, beautiful field stone fireplace is the centerpiece of the living room. fire pit outside, great, dock, nice sand, 2 kayaks and a paddleboard for your use

Summary: This is a tough one to leave a review. The location, lake, house space and the owner....awesome! The grounds, the pool house, the cleanliness....awful! The five bedroom 2 bath house has great space and lots of character. The problem is the cleanliness. The black mold in the upstairs bathroom and bedrooms was disturbing. The flying ants in the main bedroom downstairs was disgusting. The mold around the bathroom edges has been "covered up" for years. None of the bathroom doors actually shut or lock, no privacy. There were cobwebs and spiders all over the living room between the chairs and tables. The inside of the drawers and cabinets in the kitchen were dirty. The fridge and coffee maker have not been cleaned in weeks. The grounds of the property have not seen any care whatsoever in 20 years. The disturbing amount of giant spiders and colony of spiderwebs in the boathouse left it literally unusable! Once again, the location, space and owner were great! Everything else, not so much.
