Modern, thoughtfully renovated home with 2 bedrooms and comfortable space to relax. Brand new and sparkling clean kitchen, bathroom, laundry, dining room, reading nook and living room. Private front porch and wooded backyard. Quiet neighborhood within walking distance of grocery stores, coffee shops and restaurants. Six blocks to Drake University, short drive to Des Moines University and less than a 10 minute drive to downtown.
The space
Our highest priority is to provide an incredibly clean and comfortable experience.

-Coffee and Tea bar stocked for your visit. There is a Keurig machine, standard coffee pot, French press and tea kettle. We provide a variety of Keurig pods, creamer and sweeteners, as well as a few tea options and hot chocolate.

-kitchen cabinets have been thoughtfully stocked with quality cookware. In addition to all major appliances, there is also a slow cooker, blender, toaster, hand mixer.

-Basic spices and condiments provided.

-Home is a completely furnished "mother-in-law" quarters that is attached to a main house. The bigger side of the house is unoccupied at this time. (Some might call this a duplex, but only the Airbnb side is used/rented/occupied.)
Guest access
The house sits on a dead-end and has a wooded backyard. Even though the house is in the middle of the city, deer and birds are frequent backyard visitors.

If you enjoy walking, the neighborhood has interesting 100 year old homes, a couple coffee shops and a few restaurants. Hyvee grocery store and Campbell’s (health food store) are five blocks from the Airbnb, so groceries are walkable but a car or bicycle is probably more practical. There is a bus stop one block from the Airbnb.

There is an on-sight driveway for parking and also free street parking.
Other things to note
This is a family friendly house. Our intention is that this is a home to relax and rest. This is not a party house. Do not book if you have any proclivity toward illegal activities. Do not book if you are a smoker.
