2 Bedroom House in Palisade

Lovely mountain views, amazing outdoor area with private 8 man hot tub. Both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and lots of charm. Less than a mile or a 7-10 minute bike ride to downtown, 5-10 minute walk to three stellar vineyards and surrounded by orchards. Also900 sq ft of use each bedroom and the living room has its own smart TV, the kitchen is outfitted to serve your needs. The yard is fenced there are two shaded outdoor areas to BBQ and enjoy breathtaking sunsets.
The space
This property hosts two homes, the farmhouse in front that we live in and the Peach Pad behind. There are no shared spaces, fences or yards. The kitchen is fully stocked with spices and all the dishes you need. The master bathroom has a large soaking tub as well as a separate shower. The second bedroom has en-suite access to its bathroom and there is also shared access. Please note that we are surrounded by working orchards and that you will see workers in them from time to time. We are a 5-7 minute walk to our favorite vineyard Bookcliff vineyard that has incredible 360 degree views of the valley and live music/food truck each Saturday.
Guest access
No shared spaces besides the first part of the driveway. We do sometimes sit on our back patio but do not interact with (beyond a friendly wave) guests unless invited. Enjoy the outdoor furniture,epic views and shade in your private fenced yard.
Other things to note
Please stay inside your private fenced yard and enjoy your surroundings. Plenty of outdoor furniture is available in our shady yard to lounge and take in the epic views. A lovely walk on the canal bank at sundown gives you all the best views. These are working orchards and from time to time there will be workers in the orchards. Also we are in the country so sometimes deer, turtles, toads, rabbits and the occasional bear wander through.

Summary: Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this property. It was clean, well-appointed, and only a few miles from wine country. Candace was usually quick to respond to our questions and concerns. There were a couple of issues with communication, however, as we were informed that it was "very likely" (but not guaranteed) that the hot tub would be heated by our October visit. Unfortunately, this was not the case, which was naturally disappointing. When we asked about the discrepancy, we were told that it was to be started in the fall (which was two weeks prior), and the public listing was then changed. A second issue was that the heater was not working; they did come right away and started the living room fireplace, but this did not heat our bedroom. They said someone would come the next day, but we never heard back from them. Finally, two of us were hit in the head/face by a hand held shower head, causing me to suffer a black eye. When we kindly suggested that she consider replacing it, her response was "Thanks," with no apology whatsoever. I happen to own a VRBO as well, so I understand that there can be glitches, but these issues definitely had a negative impact on our stay.
