This spacious, four-bedroom, 2.5 bath home is a classic up north cottage with beautiful views of Rapid River. Peaceful with that kick back feel. Prime location close to Torch Lake, our river connects to the chain of lakes with public access right around the corner. Within 40 minutes to Elk Rapids, Bellaire, Traverse City or the wineries of Mission Peninsula. You will love the large deck, bonfire pit, high speed wifi, grill, and riverfront dock. Plus, we are pet friendly! (Please see rules below)
The space
2500 sq ft home located minutes away from Torch Lake and public access DNR boat launch. Large backyard with bonfire pit, large deck with grill, and outdoor seating (grill and outdoor furniture available June - September).
LIVING ROOM + DINING ROOMS + KITCHEN
Spacious living room, dining room, and kitchen for all of your hosting needs. Kitchen stocked with essentials needed for cooking and dinnerware sets for up to 12 people. Dining room table has seating for up to 6 people. The second dining area is located in rustic 3 seasons room with seating for up to 10 people with a serving table. The living room has a sleeper sofa, recliner, large smart TV with sound bar, and a ceiling fan (wood stove is not for use).
Each bedroom includes linens and pillows, bedside tables, alarm clock and lamps with USB plugs, closet/wardrobe/dresser, and tall floor fan/space heater.
HALLWAY CLOSET
Small vacuum and mop, 1 medium dog crate with bed, 1 large dog crate with bed, pack and play, ironing board, step stool, extra comforters, and pillows.
OFFICE SPACE
Large desk with chair, lamp with wireless phone charger.
THREE SEASONS ROOM
Perfect place to relax and enjoy the riverfront view. Sleeper sofa, loveseat, chaise lounge, electric fireplace, electric heater (provided in winter), ceiling fan, coffee table, smart TV, large dining room table seats 10, serving table.
FOUR SEASONS ROOM
Attached to master suite, enjoy the riverfront view from the luxury massage chair. Two twin beds, dresser, table and four chairs, lamps with USB plugs, perfect room for kids!
OUTDOOR PATIO/DECK
Enjoy the riverfront view from the deck or have a BBQ! Patio dining sets, gas grill (grill and furniture available June - September only).
FRONT PATIO/DECK
Relax and enjoy the wooded views from the porch lounge chairs or rocking chairs on the patio.
RIVERFRONT DOCK
Explore the serene beauty of the Rapid River on our 2 kayaks (available June - September only). Please note that the water levels are too low for docking motorized watercrafts.
BONFIRE PIT
End the day with a fire and relaxation on our lounge chairs and the perfect tree layout for your hammocks! (Firewood is not provided).
Guest access
Large driveway with space for multiple vehicles and boat trailers. Pole barn and garage access is not available. Access to the home is self check-in with keypad lock entry.
Other things to note
CLEANING:
We use natural, non-toxic, hypoallergenic, eco-friendly cleaning products. Our home is professionally cleaned between each guest and deep cleaned several times a year, including carpet cleaning and duct cleaning.
If the reservation is 10 days or longer, there will be a required mid-stay clean. This is also available upon request for any shorter length of stay for an extra cost.
PET POLICY:
PLEASE LET US KNOW PRIOR TO BOOKING IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BRING YOUR PET. We love to allow guests to bring their furry friends with them on vacation. We do have a 2 dog limit. We suggest leashing your dog when outside. Our yard is not fenced in, and there are dogs next door and plenty of wildlife nearby! Please "scoop the poop" before leaving. We also ask that you keep your pet off of the furniture/beds. Please contact us ahead of time with information on your pet for approval.
Only registered guests that are confirmed in the guest count are allowed on the premises - no extra guests without host approval
Water and Septic: The property is on well water. Please be conscious of excessive water use. The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. If it is found that other products have been flushed and clog the septic system, you could be charged damages of up to $500.
Outdoor grill- please clean off after use. If you need to buy more propane you can send us the receipt and we will be happy to reimburse you!
Please do not rearrange the furniture inside or outside the home.
NOTE: Your safety matters. There is a Ring doorbell and security camera, located around the perimeter, facing out. They do not look into any interior spaces
*The wood stove/fireplace is not for use at this time.
*The bathtub jets are not functional
Damages, missing items, late check out (without prior approval) and extra cleaning costs (exceeding the included cleaning fee) that are incurred by the primary guest and any guests at the property will be billed to the primary guest- please report any damages or issues ASAP.

Any extra fees and taxes (excluding accommodation costs, host cleaning fee, and pet fee) can not be adjusted by the host.
