Positive: The location couldn’t be better: right in the heart of Leblon’s dining scene, just a short walk to Dias Ferreira, a couple of blocks from the beach, and close to Antero de Quental metro station. The area is very safe, with 24/7 surveillance, yet remains quiet and peaceful. The apartment itself has everything you could need. All appliances are brand new, including an oven, dishwasher, and washing machine - and the water cooler was a welcome bonus (especially since tap water isn’t recommended). The concierge was excellent, always available and quick to respond to any questions or requests via WhatsApp. Also, very accomodatting considering we had a child. Everything was managed professionally and to a very high standard.
Negative: Rio’s climate is naturally humid, due to the nearby mountains and sea. The apartment is well-ventilated, with windows in every room, but on some days the humidity is noticeable indoors (but you can always turn on the aircon). In the main bathroom shower, there were some signs of mold, which could be easily addressed.
