Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The staff were friendly and available 24/7. They were also happy to hold our bags for us on the day of checkout so that we could go and enjoy the city without lugging our backpacks around!
Negative: Our room was up a tall, thin spiralled staircase out the back of the building, and one of the railings had broken. Going up and down these stairs every time we left the room was not ideal, especially when checking in and checking out carrying our luggage. It felt dangerous. The room was small but had everything we needed - a bed, bathroom and storage shelves. However it was very dusty. We unpacked, placing our stuff on the shelves available and from then onwards everything was covered in dust. We had our own bathroom but the sink did not work-no water at all came from the tap, and the shower leaked a puddle all over the bathroom floow every time we used it, which we then had to mop up on our hands and knees each time. The bed was comfortable but sunk in the middle, I am presuming there is a broken beam in the centre of the bed, and it made a loud clunking noise whenever either of us rolled over in the night. The windows opened and closed, but only closed if you slammed them shut. If we left them open over night, mosquitos came in the room.
