Summary: Beautiful, large and well equipped apartment with private parking. We parked our car and never had to use it again, easy walk to restaurants, shops and the archeological site of Pompeii. Pompeii in January is spectacular, for us it was cool, sunny and seemed like we were the only ones there at times. We hired a local guide for the first three hours of the day and then spent the rest of the day exploring on our own. Karine provided great recommendations for restaurants and local shops, and waited patiently as the GPS in our rental car had troubles getting us to the apartment. We are now a couple weeks and a couple thousand kilometers into our trip and for other travelers from North America that are renting cars we have found Google Maps slightly better than Apple Maps and the Ford navigation system supplied with our car completely useless.
