The Joseph Wesley Young Mansion is one of the most famous mansions in South Florida.
Built in 1925 - this was the personal residence of JW Young, founder of Hollywood FL, and Port Everglades.
This masterpiece was designed by the renowned architectural firm of Rubish & Hunter, with significant influences from famous Palm Beach architect Addison Mizner.
Listed on National Register of Historic Places by US Department of Interior. Former Presidents of the United States have played billiards here on the slate Baldwin billiard table.
The property has been beautifully restored and featured on HGTV, The TLC Channel, and in numerous commercials/photo shoots. The Young Mansion boasts 23 individual rooms (great for large groups) there are 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms in this massive 7,000 square feet layout. The property has a huge heated pool (25’ X 50’) surrounded by imported marble statues and a cabana with a full bath- serving area- full refrigerator- gas grill- with a table that sits eight.
The house is a short walk (half mile/800 meters) to gorgeous Hollywood Beach which has the only beachfront boardwalk in all Florida. This area is great with numerous restaurants and hotels. This entire board walk area has been recently renovated with terrific resorts like the new Jimmy Buffet Margaritaville and The Diplomat Resort. Golf, tennis, Gulfstream Park, and numerous other entertainment options are close by. Free Circuit ride share runs both to the beach and the charming downtown area with it’s great shops, outdoor cafes, wine bars, jazz bars, nightclubs, etc. This is great for large groups who have guests who want to be independent.
The Young Mansion is a destination unto itself with almost too many amenities to list: You will feel like you have been instantly transported to Andalusia Spain with its classic Spanish/Moorish architecture. Fantastic hardwood and Cuban tile floors throughout, imported Spanish tile roof, hand crafted interior wrought iron Spanish gates, limestone fireplaces, imported Moorish fountains, the billiards room with the slate table is adorned with a Tiffany billiards light, English pub style bar, gorgeous formal courtyard, all surrounded by manicured formal gardens.
Two convertible bedrooms are at ground level off the family room with a sofa bed in the library as another convertible bedroom. There is a sofa bed in the family room, jacuzzi tub in marble master bath, commercial grade stainless steel appliances in kitchen, waffle maker, juice maker, coffee maker, toaster, and other appliances. Quality 600 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, towels, including beach towels are provided.
Upon arrival you will find bottled water, sodas, imported and domestic beer in the Viking refrigerator. After flying all day who wants to have to run to the store for something cold to drink? We’ve got you covered.
Additional location info: The Young Mansion is ideally located between Fort Lauderdale and Miami. World renowned South Beach is just 25 minutes away. Gulfstream Park (horse racing, gaming, dining, and entertainment) is just 7 minutes away. Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is just 15 minutes away. Only 17 minutes to Dolphins Stadium. Famous Ft. Lauderdale Beach is only 20 minutes away.

Everyone who stayed for this trip was blown away by this house. We had 20+ people and at no point, did we feel short on space. The appliances were top of the line, pool area was fantastic and all of the furniture was very comfortable. This house is conveniently located near the airport, beach, golf courses, shopping malls and fishing charters which is very helpful if you're with a large group. The owner and the property manager were very helpful with any of our questions and concerns. I'd reccomend the Young Mansion to anyone, you won't be disappointed.

We spent a long weekend at Young Mansion for a girls trip with 18 friends from around the country and had a fabulous time! The owner and property manager were extremely responsive and helpful. The outdoor area by the pool is absolutely amazing! There was plenty of space and bedrooms for everyone to be comfortable. It is a great location to explore Hollywood and easily accessible to the Ft. Lauderdale or Miami airports. We had a wonderful trip and would come back. Thank you!

Our large group (around 20 friends and family members) has stayed at the Young Mansion twice now, and we've been totally pleased both times! Richard and Michael have taken great care of us- checking in to make sure we have what we need, and stopping by to help out when we've made special requests. The home, outdoor space, and pool have kept us cozy and occupied for our week-long stays, and it's a quick drive or 15-20 minute easy walk to the beach- a perfect location! We definitely recommend the Young Mansion- it's our go-to rental when we visit Florida! *The cleaning crew is also super friendly and does a great job!

The house was absolutely beautiful and massive. It fit my large group of over 20 people comfortably. Richard, the home owner, was a huge help when I had questions or concerns. All around, I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay.

We held our annual ladies' weekend at the Young Mansion. Our stay was so enjoyable because we had so many different spaces to enjoy separate conversations with each other. The property was nicely maintained and pleasant. We had great response times from the owner and the caretaker. I highly recommend the Young Mansion for your next event! We hope to go back again soon!
