The location of this stunning home cannot be believed. Located right on a long sandy beach, 30 feet from high tide, with views of Hornby, Texada, and Lasquiti Islands. Great for a walk in bare feet while enjoying the salt air or taking it all in from the new hot tub. Or, you could get out your fishing rod and enjoy fishing on what is arguably the best fishing beach in the area. Arrowsmith Golf Course, an exec 18 hole course is five minutes away. Just 300 meters away is a pub with food and live music as well as another restaurant. An easy walk, no need to drive after enjoying a cool one.
The home is luxurious and modern, having been recently totally renovated. With an open floor plan, the front of the house has floor to glass windows that allow you to see the ocean from anywhere in the living room, dining room or kitchen. Relax and enjoy the ocean, whatever the weather, from the cozy living room or while having breakfast at the dining room table.
The large, fully appointed gourmet kitchen features extensive granite countertops and a state of the art induction stove with convection oven. There is also a new propane BBQ on the large deck. The master bedroom features a king size bed and a newly renovated en-suite with 2 sinks, a separate shower and a soaker tub. The second bedroom is roomy and features a queen size bed. All beds have new quality linens, pillows and towels.
This house has all the comforts of home including high speed internet, 40 inch tv with surround sound connected to cable, DVD player, stereo, washer/dryer, air-tight wood fireplace insert.
Relax on the comfy furniture on the large deck. Attached to the deck is a hot tub that seats up to six people comfortably. It’s a great location to sit entranced by the waves lapping on the beach or the stars overhead at night.
There is so much to do – walk on the beach, watch the wildlife which includes seals, sea lions and eagles, go for a swim, or go fishing. Between Nile Creek and Big Qualicum River, this is one of the best fishing beaches on the coast. There are numerous golf courses within 30 minutes, including Arrowsmith and Memorial Golf Courses.
Great seafood abounds in this area and you can easily purchase fresh oysters from Fanny Bay Oysters or fresh scallops from Island Scallops. Locally caught fish are available at many stores. In the summer, there are wonderful farmer’s markets at Courtenay, Qualicum Beach and Coombs where you can buy amazing fresh produce in a unique atmosphere.
There are many parks within 1 hours drive including: Horne Lake Provincial Park, Englishman Falls Provincial Park, Little Qualicum Falls Provincial Park, Milner Gardens, Mount Washington and Cathedral Grove Provincial Park with its ancient trees.
