Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: A very small and rustic inn run by a lovely family. They also gave us some recommendations on where we could get some amazing views of Mt Fuji. The rooms are simple and even though there is no private bathroom, the inn offers two communal baths with onsen which can be locked for private use. We had no problems using them and there was no waiting as the inn only has about 4 rooms so the baths are not always packed. The meals were probably the best Kaiseki meals we had during our stay in Japan, with a lot of variety and seasonal dishes. We would highly recommend anyone considering visiting the Mt Fuji region to stay at the inn and experience a quiet and authentic getaway from the tourist crowds. We also had the best views of Mount Fuji during sunset from the little lake (Yamanakako) which was a short walk away from the inn.
