Welcome! Enjoy city living with this renovated unit that sits on the well-traveled thoroughfare in Kansas City. Within minutes you can enjoy every part of this great city. This apartment building is located in Midtown. One block from The Uptown Theater. Just north of the renowned Country Club Plaza, which features many restaurants, bars, and shopping. You will also stumble upon Westport, an eclectic area, known for entertainment, bars and diners.
This 400 sq. ft., studio apartment can accommodate up to 3 guests. Enjoy a queen sofa sleeper, or a more secluded twin bed. Linens, towels and soaps are provided. A fully equipped kitchen complete with oven, microwave, and refrigerator for your use for a home away from home feel. Keurig available with coffee, tea, and hot cocoa - sugar and creamer provided. All there to make your mornings a little smoother.
Guests have access to the apartment via a keypad lock on the front door, a private code is issued at time of booking! Check-in time is anytime after 3:00pm and checkout is 10:00am. Iron and ironing board available just in case something didn't come out of your suitcase as planned. Bathroom amenities include fresh, clean towels, shampoo/conditioner, body wash and a hair blow dryer. Free high speed Wi-Fi. Free street parking only.
Guests have access to the community laundry machines in the basement of the building. Door code to access the basement will be given upon request.
As your host, I am available to answer any questions and help in any way to make your stay perfect. You will not see me, unless you need me!

Luckily, history buffs will find a walking trail with placards that recount the area’s storied history and the Battle of Westport, the largest Civil War conflict west of the Mississippi.
Plug into KC’s live music scene with rousing acts at Riot Room, a local haven for finding that next great sound. Meanwhile, The Westport Saloon features music acts of a different tune, including roots, blues, rockabilly and more. Or hit the patios at both Westport Ale House or HopCat for craft beers and live sports watching. Feeling tropical? Sneak down to TikiCat, a subterranean escape hidden underneath HopCat and featuring more than 20 tiki cocktails.
Catch an indie flick at Tivoli Cinemas, a movie theater that specializes in screening independent, documentary and foreign films. If live performances are more to your liking, check out The KC Improv Company for hilarious weekly comedy shows. Just next door, you’ll find Char Bar Smoked Meats & Amusements, an aptly-named barbecue restaurant with a killer outdoor patio and yard games, perfect for an afternoon or evening with good company. Just a block away, you’ll find Kelly’s Westport Inn, an iconic bar known for rowdy nights.

Fun and funky gifts from colorful shops are this area’s specialty. Those with a love for all things kitchen-related must poke around in Pryde’s Old Westport, the triangular building where every nook and cranny is stuffed with must-have cooking tools. Take in the sights and sounds of this 15-block area with a romantic horse-drawn carriage ride or a gondola float on the adjacent Brush Creek. When the holidays roll around, the Plaza Lights are an eight-decade sensation and the annual Plaza Art Fair each fall presents the country’s top visual artists. Two nationally renowned art museums are located nearby, The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art. Located on the campus of UMKC, the Kansas City Rep is one of the best-kept secrets in the Midwestern theater scene, delighting local audiences and inspiring New York productions at the same time.

It’s been said, and bears repeating: no trip to Kansas City is complete without shopping on The Plaza. Seasoned shoppers will find high-end labels like Michael Kors, Kate Spade and Kendra Scott. Local-vores will love Hallmark-owned HMK as well as Charlie Hustle—home to retro apparel such as T-shirts and wool hats—and Three Dog Bakery, which began in KC and now has locations around the globe, not to mention a gigantic menu of treats for man’s best friend. For antiques, venture to 45th & State Line, where you’ll find a charming collection of traditional and vintage.
PLACES TO EAT
Sidewalk cafes and patios on the Plaza just can’t be beat. See for yourself and rest your heels at local institutions like The Classic Cup (seafood and sandwiches) and Gram & Dun (comfort food with creative drink pairings). Rye features down-home favorites such as fried chicken and hand-selected steaks cooked over pecan and white oak, plus a killer weekend brunch. Other favorites include Parkway Social Kitchen for swanky atmosphere, Kaldi's Coffee for caffeination and Shake Shack for craveworthy cheeseburgers.
Last, but not least: Don’t forget to explore beautiful Brush Creek, which runs along the south side of the Country Club Plaza.

For a different way to explore more of the city, the KC Streetcar will give you a ride north to the River Market. The closest pick up point is 2 miles north on Main St. at Union Station.
There is also the city bus line, RideKC. You can find the bus routes and frequency on their website, ridekc.org.

There is a window unit to cool the apartment and heating wall units to warm it up. Please feel free to adjust either of these to your comfort level. Both can be located behind the sofa in the living space.
Upon departure:
*Please leave dirty towels on the floor of the bathroom.
*Please run the dishwasher with the last of the dishes that need to be cleaned.
*No need to strip the sheets off the bed. If a sofa sleeper was used, please place used sheets/blanket on the floor next to the sofa.
