At the forefront, the 3-story Main House—a lovingly restored former feed store from the late 1800s—stands as a proud testament to the area’s rich history. Just across the serene courtyard, the Carriage House is tucked away, offering an additional 2 bedroom private retreat that gazes toward Chartres Street. (The carriage house must be booked separately) Stretching gracefully between the two homes lies an expansive grass yard also know as “The Garden” which can be used to for outdoor yoga (mats provided); to host private events (for an additional fee); or to just let your kids run around (priceless!) The Garden at Chartres is accessible from both houses as well as Montegut Street - via a gated driveway - creating a seamless connection to the vibrant surroundings. The three-story Chartres 1883 Main House invites you into an immersive world of artful design and New Orleans charm. Designed by local firm Logan Killen Interiors, our restored historic home combines modern luxury with rich local craftsmanship, offering a uniquely authentic New Orleans stay.
***The First Floor: The Great Room + Powder Room***
A grand, open-concept space centered around a chef's kitchen that exudes understated luxury. Custom wood cabinetry, a marble-topped island, and Italian appliances create a haven for culinary pursuits. The lounge and dining area, with seating for 14, invite connection and conversation. Tucked away, the powder room features a custom hand-painted mural by local artist Small Chalk, evoking the building’s storied past as an 1883 feed store and bar for longshoremen.

Each bedroom offers its own sanctuary, wrapped in soothing plaster hues and anchored by handmade beds crafted by local artisans at Doorman Designs and Country Beds.
