A great place for relaxation, enjoy some alone time or family time. You can go swimming, layout or if you aren't a big fan of being in the sun there are two different shelters on the pier where you can relax in the shade or enjoy the view from in the house. A nice place to take morning or afternoon walks. You are driving distance from the state park where you can enjoy hiking and other activities they may have going on. You can fish from the pier and there are several spots around the lake for good fishing so bring your boat and dock it at the house you are less than an mile from the boat landing, or you are welcome to bring your kayaks. There is dining by the water just down the road along with a grocery store, variety store, gas station, antique store and a couple more restaurants all within a mile from the house.
Our home is family oriented with the kitchen, dining, and living room all being in one large open space so everyone can socialize no matter what room they are in. Also from all these areas there is the most beautiful view of the lake. Our place can sleep 8 there is a queen bed in one bedroom and in the other we have 2 full size beds. On the lake side of the house we have a sun porch just off from the living room and kitchen, in this area we have a full size bed and you can wake up to the most beautiful view each morning. The dining area is at the other end of the sun porch where you can enjoy your cup of morning coffee. The living room has a flat screen tv mounted on the fire place that has a fire stick so you are welcome to log into your Netflix or prime and watch movies, the tv also has an antenna if you would just like to watch the local channels. The password for the wifi and contact info if you have any questions is on the shelf to the right of the tv. We want you to have the most enjoyable time while at The Sweet Retreat!
Upon arrival there will be fresh sheets on all the beds along with clean towels and wash cloths in the bathroom. We will have a full roll of toilet paper, a travel size soap, shampoo, and lotion on the counter, there is also a blow dryer hanging on the wall. The kitchen has a stove with oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, standard coffee pot, dishes, pots, pans and utensils for your use along with a roll of paper towels, dish detergent, clean dish cloth and towel. There is a washroom you will have access to with a washer, dryer, iron and ironing board.
On the lake side of the house, outside we have a grill you are welcome to use that is part charcoal and part gas. There is a patio table for you to enjoy meals out by the lake. The pier is your own private pier to enjoy it has 2 shelters one that has a bench for you to sit on and the other has a swing. You can fish from the end of the pier or take your chair and lay out the choice is yours. Often you will have special guest (ducks) to come visit they are harmless they just like to hang and see who is around. The yard is grass with a sandy area I call the beach that leads to the lake, a great place for the young ones to sit and play.
