Positive: We were met on arrival by the host, Polyvios, who made us feel very welcome and explained everything in the apartment and the local area. He had already given us lots of recommendations for places to eat. All the appliances in the apartment looked brand new and everything worked well. It was beautifully clean. The apartment was comfortable. The bed in the bedroom we used was large with a quite firm mattress. The air conditioning was very effective and quiet in sleep mode. There was noise from cafes during the day but this stopped around midnight when the area became quiet. Everywhere we went in Kerkyra/Corfu felt very safe. The apartment is in a very good location within walking distance of all the attractions of the town. There is a supermarket on the corner, good cafes very close, and a mass of restaurants within a short walk. In terms of accessibility, there are a few steps to the old but functional lift to get to the apartment. Throughout our stay, Polyvios was easy to contact and responded very quickly to any queries. He and his wife, Marimilka, are excellent hosts.
Negative: Parking is difficult in the area and might involve a walk from the car to the apartment. It's the same all over the town.
