Nestled into the sandstone bluffs, Treetop Hideaway is a unique and contemporary home designed by Rob Wellington Quigley (San Diego's best-known contemporary architect.) The abundant natural lights illuminates the homes many unique and interesting angles, floor to ceiling windows allow you to commune with nature and take in the stunning ocean view. Located up the winding hillside in the Del Mar Terrace neighborhood allows for privacy and seclusion while still being minutes to town.
This architecturally interesting property has quite a unique layout. The many levels of this home rise up to greet you in an intriguing arrangement.
The tranquil waterfall welcomes you upon arrival. The main living space is designed to capture the best spot to view the Pacific Ocean and observe the gorgeous natural views where you may spot a peregrine falcon or owl! The Twin Guest room is located on the next level above the kitchen and has a private, ensuite bathroom. The master suite encompasses the top living area with a spa like bathroom boasting a soaking tub, generous sized shower, dual sinks and a private water closet.
The outdoor deck off the dining area is cozied up to the sandstone cliffs and offers a wonderfully private spot to take in the view, The gas firepit keeps you warm at night!

Guest has exclusive access to the 2 bedroom main home. There is a completley separate guest house on the property (The Tower) that may or may not have guests residing during your stay. It is not in your sight line and feels more like a neighbor next door. The Tower is a completely separate builiding and doe not have any shared spaces with Treetop Hideaway

The Del Mar Terrace neighborhood is a well established neighborhood comprised of single family homes. Located 3 minutes to Torrey Pines State beach and reserve. Local coffee house, taqueria, pizza and pub are all at the bottom of the hill. In less than 10 minutes you are in the heart of Del Mar. The Terraces is known for it's winding roads, terraced homes and beautiful vistas. Treetop Hideaway is near the top.
Given that this home is at the top of a hillside, walking is great for those who enjoy a strenuous workout. Car is recommended for most activities.
Please note: This home has A LOT of stairs. There are stairs to access all aspects of the interior and exterior of the home and property.
We welcome families with children but stress that children must be under parental supervision at all times. The home is not "baby proofed" so it is imperative that your eyes are on your young ones all the time.
We have security cameras on the driveway and entrance gate. Fyi, there no cameras in the home or putdoor patio.

Please note there are many steps on the property. We also have an open water feature and areas around the deck that do not have railing. Gas firepit on the patio . Immediate supervision of young children, toddlers and infants is imperative.
