Positive: - ocean front property with excellent snorkeling (free gear for guests) - free simple breakfast, with option to upgrade to local large breakfasts for very low prices (which we did every morning) - rooms are not huge but comfortable and everything worked. - scooter rental (delivered to the premises) for 500 pesos (around 8$) a day
Negative: - google maps location is correct but you are met by a 3 meter black gate, there is no sign at all. We were lucky there was a staff member nearby to confirm we were at the right place. - Most staff members do not speak english well which made our arrival a bit akward and didn’t feel very welcomed at first. However, we quickly realised that they were all very friendly and helpful! - The hotel was transparent about this but there was ongoing construction so the premises didn‘t look too nice when we were there. They are building a pool at the moment so if you plan to visit late this year or next year they will be finsihed. Then it is a 9/10 or 10/10 location to stay while in Moalboal, especially considering the low prices.
Summary: Small ocean front property with fantastic snorkeling and great breakfast.
