Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: A nice and pleasant place to stay for a couple of days. The location is amazing, 15 mins by walk to Taksim, there are shops and restaurants nearby. The atmosphere is very cozy, the hosts were extremely welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The place itself is very small, both the reception and rooms, so I think for people with kids (especially with strollers) it’d be very difficult to manage. The breakfast provided was local and very delicious. The rooms have everything you need. We were there in February so the heating was very good, didn’t feel cold for even a second.
Negative: The place is located in Beyoğlu, which is a neighbourhood with very steep streets, so if you’re not comfortable with walking long distances, I don’t recommend it. The hotel itself is kind of cramped because the building is small - if you’re envisioning a big spacious place, that’s not it. However, for a couple days stay it’s amazing for value-price. For me personally the bedding was a bit dusty, and the towels had some stains or spots on them. Also the fact that there is no elevator, you have to climb six floors by yourself. But the staff is very helpful as they were kind enough to bring our luggage to our rooms.
