Welcome to this charming two-story Cape Cod Cottage, nestled in the historic Sea Captains Village of Brewster, just off Cape Cod Bay. This shingled cottage exudes a captivating charm that will make you feel right at home. Situated on a sprawling piece of land, it even features its own private pond (non-swimmable) accessible via a serene wooded path.
Privacy is paramount here, with the second floor offering breathtaking views of the bay and the renowned Brewster flats. These flats extend further than any others in the northern hemisphere and can be easily reached by taking a few steps down our private driveway. The nearby beach is perfect for children, offering swimming, shell collecting, clamming, and leisurely walks, all while treating you to picturesque vistas in every direction. You can even venture out to the oyster beds, where you might encounter an oyster man or a local fisherman.
As you arrive at the cottage, you'll be greeted by a bright hallway that leads to an open living room. French doors provide access to the rear deck, where outdoor furniture beckons you to relax or enjoy a lovely breakfast overlooking Max's Pond. The barbecue grill is conveniently located just steps away. Adjacent to the living room are the dining area and an open kitchen equipped with everything you need for a delightful Cape Cod vacation.
This cottage was lovingly built by the owner and interior designer, Pamela, who has created a space that is both light and bright, adorned with beautiful art, smart furnishings, and charming accents. The entire abode is meticulously clean, ensuring a comfortable stay. The first floor features a shower room/laundry with a toilet, while the second floor boasts a second full bathroom.
Ascending the stairs, you'll discover a delightful sitting area/reading loft. There are two queen bedrooms, one with a spacious walk-in closet and the other with ample wardrobe space. In 2022, a new garage was added, providing storage for beach chairs, beach carts, umbrellas, toys, and even bicycles. Please note that the garage cannot accommodate vehicles but is perfect for storing your beach gear, bikes etc.
The cottage is surrounded by lovely gardens, where you may catch glimpses of foxes, deer, rabbits, chipmunks, and an array of birdlife inhabiting the trees. Just a two-minute drive away, you'll find the historic Old Kings Highway (Rt 6a) with its charming shops, galleries, and restaurants. For nature enthusiasts, there are nearby wooded trails with walking and cycling paths, as well as numerous other Cape Cod beaches to explore, from walking the flats and climbing the dunes to visiting historic landmarks along the national seashore.
