Positive: The hosts are exceptionally welcoming, friendly and sociable. This is like coming home to your Cretan family! A range of Cretan treats was waiting for us. The apartment is well equipped and cosy. It has a fire place that we used on one occassion, adding to the ambiance. It is within easy reach of the Rethymnon old harbour and Venetian fort. If you don't mind a good walk, you can follow the waterfront

Negative: Located in a residential area it has the normal buzz of everyday life. For us this wasn't an issue but do not expect a beautiful serene scenery from your balcony. We were there in winter, but when you stay in summer, expect mass-tourism nearby!
